Welcome to the Ben-Pat Forum!
We are so honored that you all have joined us for a continuing education course (or several). Whether you participated in a Ben-Pat Institute course on dental sleep medicine, orofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders or all topics, we know that questions may come up when you return to your dental offices and begin implementing your new knowledge to further help your patients.
That is what the Ben-Pat Forum is here for. We created this forum for previous students to ask questions, post cases and converse not only with other students, but Dr. Terry Bennett, DMD, and Dr. Mayoor Patel, DDS, MS, as well. But, before we dive into the conversation, there are a few rules to keep in mind:
- Do not post cases with patient information included. Make sure to exclude any identifying factors such as name and date of birth.
- The advice that is provided in this forum is a guide and should not be used as a definite diagnosis or treatment plan. The final diagnosis and treatment plan will be based on YOUR examination and medication review of YOUR patient.
We cannot emphasize this enough, but please use the Ben-Pat Forum as a guide and not a formal plan of action for the patient. This is because we–or anyone in the forum group–have not examined the patient. Our advice is simply based on only pieces of information provided to our forum.
Other than those pieces of guidance, we are excited to continue the conversation beyond our courses to further help you provide help for your patients with sleep apnea, TMD or craniofacial pain. Let’s dive in!
