Dr. Mayoor Patel received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee in 1994 and then went on to complete a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). He also earned a Masters in Science from Tufts University in 2011. Additionally, Dr. Patel served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the Craniofacial Pain Center at Tufts Dental School from 2011-2014 and presently again.
To remain ahead of his field, Dr. Patel has taken well over 2200 hours of postgraduate education courses in the area of Sleep Medicine, Craniofacial Pain, Sleep Disorders and Orthodontics. Since 2003, he limited his practice solely to the treatment of TMJ Disorders, Headaches, Facial Pain, Sleep Apnea and Snoring.
Since graduating from the University of Tennessee with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, Dr. Mayoor Patel has been providing his patients with superior dental care to help them live without pain and discomfort.
Throughout his career, Dr. Patel has received advanced credentials, which allows him to accurately and properly treat TMD, orofacial pain and sleep apnea in his dental office: Craniofacial Pain & Dental Sleep Medicine Center of Georgia.
Additionally, Dr. Patel has been privileged with the publication of a variety of works on TMD, oral appliance therapy, dental sleep medicine and more. These publications can be found in The Journal of Craniomandibular and Sleep Practice, Sleep Review magazine, Dental Sleep Practice, Dental Economics, and a host of textbook chapters.

In addition to his extensive continuing education, Dr. Mayoor Patel also lectures both nationally and internationally to the dental and medical communities in the area of Craniofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine. As an expert in these areas, Dr. Patel works with dentists to help them better understand the treatment of these conditions within their own dental practice.
